Program on Negotiation (PON) Graduate Research Fellowships at Harvard Law School 

The Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School offers a Graduate Research Fellowship, which is consistent with the PON goal of nurturing the development of the next generation of scholars. The program supports one year of dissertation research and writing in negotiation and related topics in alternative dispute resolution and gives fellows. The PON Graduate Research Fellowships are meant to provide doctoral students writing their dissertations the opportunity to be part of the community for one year. 

Funding: Stipend of $30,000

Requirements:

  1. Applications are open to doctoral candidates in the fields of Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, International Relations, Public Policy, Urban Planning, Business, and Law. 
  2. The candidates must have completed all doctoral degree requirements except for the dissertation. 

The application process:
Applicants should submit the following documents:

  • Cover page listing Full name, School and program, E-mail address, Mailing address, Telephone number
  • A cover letter indicating that if the fellowship is accepted, the applicant plans to reside in the Cambridge area
  • A detailed description of their proposed research (max 15 pages)
  • A research budget indicating all expenses
  • CV
  • A departmentally approved dissertation proposal, accompanied by a statement confirming that the candidate is in a full-time Ph.D. or SJD program and has completed all required coursework.
  • Two letters of recommendation on university letterhead, one of which must be from the faculty member supervising their research at the student’s home university.
